A franchise your dog would want you to buy.

In Arizona we have a growing trend that seems to be accelerating. The more grey hair we see on our resident’s heads, the more dog and cat hair we see around town. I am not surprised to find out the big box retailer PetSmart is headquartered here.

I was also not surprised to find out the growth in the specialty pet market services is still up as the press screams “the sky is falling!”

I had the chance to chat with Chris Gaba, the Co-Founder of Barkley Ventures and Central Bark Doggy Day Care. They have a very “pet centric” approach to providing high-end services and pet care through a pet franchise that has a focus on your pet’s needs first as opposed to the person writing the check. As Chris explained, “our program is not for every dog.” I really love this approach because it stands out in a very furry crowd. The average age of their customer was also lower than I would expect, check writer not pouch! I know I beat the elderly trend to death in the USA, but pets and grey haired owners are like “peas and carrots.” Chris is one very passionate guy about his franchise by the way, anyone can learn something new here, even if you have no interest in their space.

We had a great 7 minute chat about their services, their franchise offering and their growth plans. If you have a passion for pets or a desire to get into a market that is still growing, please check out.
